Feel Good from the Inside Out

With names of supplements like Shark Liver OilShark SqualeneShark CartilageGreen Lipped MusselLeaky Gut Hops, Deer Velvet, Virgin Coconut Oil, or Hops Slumber, it’s no wonder why it’s confusing to go online or to a store to buy supplements and vitamins. Information overload can be difficult to sift through.   The best place to start is to grab the latest book on the subject (i.e. THE DHA STORY by Robert Abel Jr., M.D.), and take notes and record your goals before you start.

The immune system is the army in the body that fights against common illness and imbalances. When the army is fortified by supplements and vitamins, the body has better ability to fight inflammation and maintain other systems. Using natural immune system supplements will augment and support general good health and the immune system. In brief, a person can naturally supplement their immune system with the following;Omega 3, Southern Deep Shark Products, Vistafit Products, Bovine Colostrums or Deer Velvet to name just a fewSome of the more common supplements can be found in natural foods. Eating natural foods is the easiest way to get these vitamins into the body, but the reality is that with today’s foods and the eating habits of many people, supplements are the only real way to get the amount we need into our diets.

With the movement towards natural healing, there is a huge desire to use natural supplements and vitamins. The body is designed to be self correcting. Thinking of keeping the body system balanced is then the goal. When shopping for immune boosting supplements, ask the sales person to help, or if you are in an online environment, find the "contact us" button and send them a question. People in this business are very knowledgeable and more then willing to help. If you are out shopping in a mall, ask the sales person to provide literature if available, and take the time to just chat about your health goals. When taking any supplements it is a best practice to maintain a healthy diet, and get regular exercise. Having a positive emotional state is vital to having an overall healthy immune system, so if you have unfinished emotional issues, seek help.

Two books to help with immune boosting supplements are available online. Shark Liver Oil by Neil Solomon and Devour Disease with Shark Liver Oil by Peter T. Pugliese, M.D. and John Hinerman, Ph.D, explain the wonders of Shark Liver Oil and how it works to provide immune boosting supplements to the body.

Swine Flu and Your Immune System

With any viral illness that is contagious from one person to another, the immune system is directly related as to whether or not a person gets sick. Whether faced with influenza, the common cold, a stomach virus, the chicken pox and more, your biggest safety precaution is built into your own body. In the face of the current crisis with Swine Flu, understanding the role of your immune system can mean even more.

First, it is important to understand what the Swine Flu is. This particular outbreak of the illness came from swine in Mexico. What happens is the highly contagious disease is passed from swine to a human. Once this happens, the human version of the Swine Flu is formed and passed from one person to the next. Exhibiting stronger versions of the symptoms of regular influenza, Swine Flu includes high fever, aches, pains, headache, sore throat, coughing and sneezing. The biggest problem with the swine flu is that Flu shots have no effect on the illness. It is easily passed from person to person through touch or through the air. The outbreak of the Swine Flu has spread quickly to countries around the world, and has sent people scurrying to buy hand sanitizer and medical masks.

As with any version of influenza, the best precaution is a strong immune system. The reason elderly and babies tend to get sick quicker is simply because of a weaker immune system. You can boost your immune system with supplements, such as Vitamin C, which will make your system even stronger. Generally, a healthy adult will have a strong enough immune system to help them ward off the Swine Flu. However, if your immune system has been compromised in any ways – if you have recently been ill, recently had surgery, are elderly, or deal with specific health conditions like HIV, it is imperative to both do things to boost the immune system and to avoid contamination.

Your immune system is a built in fighter that produces antibodies who attack invading germs. The immune system works well everyday to ward off a number of colds and stomach viruses. But, the system can be compromised, like people who have recently been sick. So, it is important to try to boost your immune system by taking a supplement or drinking juices high in vitamin C.
